Receiving and Inventory Clerk

Role and Responsibilities
· Unload and inspect all inbound freight

· Deliver and/or stock product to the appropriate department/ location

· Position investigates and resolves problems arising from purchasing or inventory issues

· Verifies shipment information by counting, weighing, and/or measuring items of incoming and outgoing shipments to validate information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records

· Collects, reviews, and monitors all departmental records and files for completeness. Compiles information on receipt and computes inventory balance. Maintains and updates inventory database

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· HS Diploma or GED is the only educational prerequisite

· 2-3 years experience is preferred.

· The position is in a fast paced environment and requires computer and math skills.

· Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with customers and management, while performing a variety of tasks which may include, but not limited to phone, e-mail, fax, and face-to-face interaction

· Operate forklifts when required, after proper training and certification

· Maintain housekeeping in designated sections of warehouse

· Ensure a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)

· Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or instructed

Must have reliable transportation and be dependable.

· Ability work well under pressure. Must be able to understand and adhere to oral and written instructions. Safety and attendance are number one priority

· Highly organized with the desire to continually improve
