We’re looking for a Design Engineer who has advanced knowledge in fabricated metal product design and manufacturing. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with 5 + years in related design engineering experience and capable of managing projects from concept to shipment with general direction. Leadership skills, library management, and excellent drafting abilities are required.
The person in this position will work on projects alone and with other personnel in support of our various product lines. Successful candidate will be involved in mechanical system design, preparation and review of engineering calculations, and related engineering analyses. Project management from conception to finished goods with accurate milestones and problem-solving skills is necessary. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on components and/or assemblies may be required at times to validate design integrity.
Requirements
BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable discipline.
Experience with mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
Experience with Solid Works 3D modeling preferred.
Applicable hands-on manufacturing and engineering experience.
Develop and apply advanced engineering concepts, theories, and research techniques in the solution of complex technical problems.
Perform research and develop products based on marketing requirements.
Provide technical consultation to customers and staff as required.
Ability to conceptualize and provide detailed designs conforming to internal and external specifications.
Ability to develop detailed part designs and assembly drawings and create complete manufacturing bills of material.
Work with support staff to complete projects.
