Bison and Ribeye Yaki Burger with Grilled Pineapple and Onions

Lean Bison and Ribeye combine to make a delicious Hawaiian style burger.


  • 1 pound ground Ribeye
  • 1 pound ground Bison
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1/4 cup plain Bread Crumbs or more if needed to bind
  • 1-2 tablespoon of Plowboys BBQ Bovine Bold
  • 1 tablespoon fresh Cracked Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 can pineapple rings
  • Your choice Lettuce
  • Your choice of bun
  • Mayo
  • Kim’s Gourmet Original Teriyaki Sauce

Prep Time: 25 Minutes  |  Cook Time: 20 Hours  | 

Incorporate all ingredients for burgers, form patties and refrigerate for 30 mins. Fire up grill and smoker to searing temp and heat cast iron pan – add bacon grease or duck fat to pan and caramelize onions. At the same time, place pineapple over direct flames and grill to get those beautiful marks. Heat flat top or pellet grill to 450+ and sear burger on both sides 2-3 min. or until preferred temp is reached. Just before you pull the patties off, baste with teriyaki sauce. To assemble: Bottom Bun, Mayo, Lettuce, Patty, Pineapple, Onions, Drizzle of more teriyaki sauce, Top Bun w/ Mayo

    1. On the YS640 pellet grill? Heck yes! I know I’ve loaded up a 640 with 12 burgers at once with no problem at all. Every single one of them done at the same time with perfect grill marks. Here is a video from one of our dealers setting up and grilling. There is a 2-piece diffuser available now, so you don’t need to remove the diffuser at all.
